Airborne dip just east of Edenhope is still there and sign posted at 40…… way over a year after my ute and caravan did their best impression of Santa’s sleigh taking off
Followed a milk tanker out of Warrnambool, State heart of dairy. The weaving the driver had to do to avoid the craters. When the main State Rd is falling apart km after km it shows a disdain for the economic importance & safety of the dairy industry.

Farmers are concerned their businesses will be unintentionally captured by incoming tax reforms. We're calling on the Federal Government to lift outdated small business Capital Gains Tax (CGT) concession eligibility thresholds. More here: buff.ly/JlbFJQd

Why not stop stuffing around. Do a GST style tax on gross business turnover so that ALL companies MUST contribute. Last time I worked this out it was a few %, literally. This would completely remove all asset write off/ depreciation etc and simplify things for business by like 90%. Payable in the quarterly bass. Sack half the ATO staff as they aren’t needed, and it also means if govt wants more tax revenue the politicians will actually have to pump business and stop gaslighting us. It also means new businesses and growing businesses don’t get to the end of the year and have a massive hole in their bank account compared to the business balance sheet and net position. Might get more than 2/5 new businesses survive past 5 years then. Just a thought…. @JNampijinpa
$50,000 instant asset write-off. Backing tradies, builders and small businesses to invest in the tools they need to build, fix and grow right here in Australia. Less tax. Less bureaucracy. More opportunity. Axe the tax.

Great piece on fuels 3-6 months out sounds about right to me too
Where does Australia stand? A month ago I started doing some research, mostly to verify that fuel was still on its way to Australia, that we weren't on a 25-day countdown to zero, and that my Easter camping trip could go ahead (it did). I released that data publicly and have been adding to it since. I've had a lot of messages asking me what I think will happen, but I decided to stay away from crystal-ball gazing and tried to let the data speak for itself. Having now spent a month with my head in the data, I feel like I have a useful read on the situation. So I'll share where I think Australia stands right now, walking through the research that got me here.
