Another win for the fellas today. Played against a young Shepp and Youth club United side who batted their overs for 123. Dion doing the damage in the chase this week reaching 50 in 18 balls and going onto make 78.

Our first home game today and we were stoked to play in front of some of the family and friends of our late teammate Bevo who sadly passed away recently. We managed a 7 wicket victory against Central Park/St Brendans. @baydenjm3 43* and Dion 36 made light work of the 117 target.

Round 1 done and dusted. A tight victory against a disciplined Mooroopna side. Pretty even spread as far as the personal performances go. Billy promoted to open and top scored with 34 and Andy finished the game off with 20 odd.

One of the locals who has been to most Thursday trainings and home games is shedding a tear and Travy Murdoch has thrown a bar tab on. A small club, but a fantastic club, with wonderful supporters. Great scenes. Up the Hawks.

It may seem just like D Grade cricket but it means a lot for plenty. Most of these blokes have been together for 8-9 years or more. And for a small town without a pub, the club has been the perfect place for a beer and a chat for the locals.
