Game changing for the team and game changing for demining in Ukraine. Most mech clearance machines are well outside most organizations’ reach, homegrown tech has made the difference.

If you told me in 2022 that we’d have access to an asset like this to help clear minefields I would have said you were crazy. Now here we are.

It’s been a big month for the “Zmii” in Kharkiv in support of our partners. On a good day (when we have favorable conditions and no FPVs) it’s covering about 1 hectare of land! The more support we have, the more land can be unlocked. You can support the team at InvictusGlobalResponse.org or directly on GiveButter at givebutter.com/P6fDrr to keep the machine in the field!

We often get asked about what kind of tools we use, and we are beyond fortunate to be supported by some great companies that make top-of-the-line EOD / IEDD / Demining tools, including mine probes, operator hook and line kits, and mine keys and anchors. Our colleagues in the industry should definitely check out: #spearaindustries #detonationtechnologies #quadrant2criticalsolutiona Exactly HOW and where we use them we generally don’t show, but just know they are getting put to good use!

"Khersey the Superhero and Oleksiy the Wonderdog here. We support mine removal efforts and ask for your support on this Mine Removal Day."
Apr 4
Today is the International Day for Mine Awareness and Assistance in Mine Action. It is observed every year on 4 April. This day was designated to raise awareness of the dangers of land mines and explosive remnants of war, as well as to promote efforts to clear contaminated areas and assist victims. The @Invictus_GR team works every day to reduce the risk of explosive hazards and allow people to reclaim their land and their lives. We cannot do it without your help. As we move into spring, the work mounts. We urgently need help to keep the momentum going and donations are appreciated. givebutter.com/P6fDrr?fbclid…

Today is the International Day for Mine Awareness and Assistance in Mine Action, so with this, conflicts don’t end when the last bullet is fired. People and communities only return to some sense of normal once everything has been cleared. So I want to thank everyone and follow

Today, April 4th, is the International Day for Mine Awareness and Assistance in Mine Action. It is a day to raise awareness about landmines, explosive remnants of war, and the need for assistance in clearing them. Declared by the @UN General Assembly in 2005, it focuses on protecting civilians, supporting peace, and supporting victim rehabilitation. Thank you all that have supported us. It’s heavy to haul but what it dos is help the next steps in training capacity.
A huge thank you to Steve at @eodgear for donating a MED-ENG #EOD9 suit and helmet to our training facility in Kharkiv. This suit will greatly enhance the kind of training we can provide to units and other demining organizations.

The IGR Ukraine team is wrapping up a busy March and preparing for an even busier April. We have received multiple requests for EOD training, explosive hazard awareness training for NGOs conducting humanitarian missions, and operator/maintenance training on commonly used detectors, including the Ceia CMD. If your organization is looking for training, reach out to us. We can host organizations at our facility, or can provide a mobile training team.

Proud of our team for the advancements made in keeping people safe. This work is important because it keeps us safe, our partners safe, and other volunteers safe. Unlike other clowns who sit on panels back in the US that have no idea what they are talking about, some of us live this day in and day out.

IGR works with partners and authorities to develop TTPs and training to mitigate the risks posed by FPVs and other emerging threats, including disruption, destruction, and exploitation. Crashed FPVs that did not function pose a great risk to EOD operators attempting to render them safe, and part of our mission is to keep those operators safe. Most of team avoids social media, and I don’t blame them. But, nevertheless, a big shoutout to the volunteers of IGR who do incredible work in difficult places. Most of the work being done so far this year has been rather sensitive, but I’m happy to share that the support is going to the areas it matters and is making a huge difference.
Our training team brings a wide range of tactical and technical expertise to support threat mitigation initiatives in Ukraine and elsewhere. We recently took part in training Ukrainian Defenders on counter-drone techniques, translating current battlefield lessons learned into valuable scenario-based training.
