Slipped past my radar in the midst of state soccer, but Gracie Figueroa will be sticking around with the IWWC
She has been recovering from a knee injury, but clearly a good amount of faith here on Figueroa’s ability. She and Macey Kilty are a nice foundation for the club.

The Iowa Women’s Wrestling Club announces it has re-signed Gracie Figueroa - who joined the IWWC last August not long after suffering a significant knee injury.
One of the most decorated prep wrestlers in US history - Figueroa is nearing a return to competition.

She’s a five-time age level team member including a Cadet/U17 World bronze.
She joins Macey Kilty as the club’s two resident athletes.

Brianna Gonzalez will bring home 🥉 from the JR Pan-Am Games at 53kg after securing the first-period FALL over Kailane Araujo (BRA).
Gonzalez struck for a pair of double-leg takedowns after some early hand fighting, running a bar following the latter to end the match in style.
As the U20 World Championships continue over in Bulgaria, draws are out for women's freestyle - where Iowa's Naomi Simon looks to one-up last year's 🥉 medal at 76kg.

Kilty defeated a pair of 3x SR World teamers via dec. - w/ her only loss in a WILD semi against 3x World/Olympic medalist Grace Bulen (NOR).
