After years of hardship following the Sinjar crisis, Sajida rebuilt her life through the Advancing Peace and Stability in Sinjar project by World Vision Iraq with UNDP support. Today, she runs her own mobile repair shop and supports her family. wvi.org/stories/iraq/sajidas…

Through the Nexus Accelerator Fund, World Vision Iraq supported 68 young people in Ninewa with life skills training in Baaj and Sinjar, strengthening confidence, resilience, and essential skills for daily life and future opportunities. 💙

🌱 Vian established a greenhouse equipped with modern irrigation systems on her family land in Qasrki village in Iraq. She cultivates seasonal fruit for local markets while rebuilding stability for herself and her two children as a single mother. At 29 years old, Vian had already endured years of conflict. She returned to Sinjar in 2021 hoping to rebuild her life after being displaced. Instead, she found herself facing severe economic hardship, prolonged drought, and growing isolation.
