I had the honour of representing His Excellency, Governor Ademola Adeleke, at the inauguration of the Matron, Patron, and State Executives of the Yoruba Koya Initiative in Ibadan. The event was attended by the Iyaloja-General of Nigeria, Chief Mrs. Folashade Ojo-Tinubu, as well as distinguished representatives from the South-West, including Kwara and Kogi States.
On behalf of Governor Adeleke, I conveyed his goodwill message and reaffirmed his commitment to the peace, unity, and security of the Yoruba people. I emphasized the importance of collective responsibility and coordinated action in addressing the security challenges confronting our region.
I also conveyed the Governor’s strong support for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, underscoring his commitment to constructive collaboration with the Federal Government in the interest of national development, stability, and sustainable progress.
The Yoruba Koya Initiative is a laudable and timely intervention aimed at strengthening regional security across the South-West, with an extended focus on Kwara and Kogi States, to safeguard our communities from banditry and other security threats.
I commended the organisers for their vision and dedication to the security and well-being of our people, while reaffirming Governor Adeleke’s commitment to partnership, cooperation, and all initiatives geared towards building a safer, more peaceful, and prosperous region.
