Delighted to meet the Irish Australian Chamber of Commerce recently.
I updated the delegation on the political and economic environment, regionally and nationally.
We discussed the unique opportunities afforded to the north of Ireland as a result of our access to Irish, European and British markets and the thriving all-island economy.
I also outlined local factors that make Newry and Armagh a more attractive place to live, work and invest in. That includes Newry’s regeneration, our strategic location on the Dublin-Belfast economic corridor, improved rail connectivity, road upgrades, fantastic schools and a dynamic local workforce.
I will continue to work hard to promote Newry and Armagh, to support better regional growth and the creation of more good-quality jobs.
