Katie’s fundraiser update
We are now at €65,165.
I am so grateful for every single donation, but I won’t lie, my heart still sinks when I look at how far we still have to go.
We still need €334,835 to reach the €400,000 target to get Katie to Florida for the surgery she desperately needs.
And we need it by the end of June.
Katie finishes her Leaving Cert in June. While most young people will be looking forward to freedom, summer, plans and the next chapter of their lives, Katie’s next chapter depends on whether we can raise enough money to get her to Florida.
That is the reality we are living with.
Katie is trying to study and sit her exams while living with pain from cerebral palsy, a dysplastic hip, twisted femur, retroverted pelvis and a labral tear. She has carried more than any young woman should ever have to carry.
As her mam, it breaks me knowing the help she needs is there, but the only thing standing between Katie and that chance is money.
Broken down, we still need:
