People can absolutely be bullies IRL, but people are much more comfortable doing it online IMO. Especially behind anonymous accounts
the worst thing about social media is that a lot of people just turned into passive bullies, not necessarily actively harassing anyone but always looking for a laugh at someone’s expense, and from a distance we treat it as innocent and don’t recognize what it does to us as people
