Tenche Cox, Pennsylvania delegate to the Continental Congress, twice
explained the purpose of the Second Amendment to his fellow citizens, first
writing in The Pennsylvania Gazette, on Feb. 20, 1788.
The militia of these free commonwealths, entitled and accustomed to their
arms, when compared with any possible army, must be tremendous and
irresistible. Who are the militia? Are they not ourselves? Is it feared,
then, that we shall turn our arms each man against his own bosom. Congress
have no power to disarm the militia. Their swords and every other terrible
implement of the soldier, are the birth-right of an American … the unlimited
power of the sword is not in the hands of either the federal or state
governments, but, where I trust in God it will ever remain, in the hands of the people.
He wrote again a year-and-a-half later:
As civil rulers, not having their duty to the people duly before them, may
attempt to tyrannize, and as the military forces which must be occasionally
raised to defend our country, might pervert their power to the injury of
their fellow-citizens, the people are confirmed by the next article in their right to keep and bear their private arms.

The Eucharist is what led me home to the Catholic Church.
As a convert, I spent years not fully understanding what Catholics believe about Holy Communion. Now I know that the Eucharist is not a symbol. It is Jesus Christ Himself. Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity.
That realization changed everything for me. It changed how I dress for Mass. How I pray. How I prepare my heart. How I veil. How I approach the altar with reverence, and humility.
I kneel and receive holy communion on the tongue because I want my outward actions to reflect my inward belief. Not because I’m perfect, but because He is worthy.
My prayer is that all of us grow in reverence and awe for the greatest gift God has given us. Jesus is truly present in the Eucharist.
He deserves nothing less than our deepest love, reverence, and devotion.
As a Catholic priest, I hold the Body of Our Lord Jesus Christ in every Mass. There are always particles on my fingers and sometimes hands, but I have the necessary recourse to either the ablution cup or purification of my fingers and hands after distributing Holy Communion, when purifying the chalice and paten.
A question: for people receiving Communion in the hand, what do you do for the particles on your hands or fingers?
Those particles are Jesus. It is a heresy to say they are not because they are either microscopic or simply small. So again, where do those particles go?
We know that even the smallest piece of Christ’s flesh matters, the smallest drop of Blood, hence why, in the heartbreaking moment after Mary witnessed her Son be scourged, she proceeded to wipe every drop from the ground.
She didn’t want to leave one drop, one particle, on the floor. What about all the places in which particles of Our Lord’s Body are left unknowingly?
It’s an honest and important question because we are called to show reverence to the Body of Christ. As a priest, what else am I supposed to be preaching? Is this not a central and valid concern that I raise?
If I am attacked and told I said something wrong, I repeat the words of Christ:
Jesus answered him, “If I have spoken wrongly, bear witness to the wrong; but if I have spoken rightly, why do you strike me?”

Professor Morris attacks the Miller paper on SIDS and vaccines by claiming VAERS is biased. He's wrong again.
Miller agrees there is reporting bias, but the data in Tables 2 and 3 shows the data CANNOT be explained by reporting bias.
Morris ignores that COMPLETELY.
He also ignores the SIDS data from William Torch which doesn't suffer from reporting bias and shows the same thing.
Professor Morris: Table 2 and table 3 are the smoking gun. As you point out your post, if it was simply reporting bias, the reports would be monotonically decreasing. They aren't.
And Torch is independent validation of the same effect and Torch doesn't rely on reporting bias. How do you explain Torch?
You didn't address any of those things in your post.
Your post misleads people by misdirecting them instead of addressing the data in the 2 tables and Torch.
If you want to discredit the paper, you should be addressing the data in the tables and Torch.
