If you think it's acceptable to leave this on a green then maybe golf isn't the game for you. If you dont have a pitch mark repairer in your pocket, you shouldn't be on the course. Do the right thing. REPAIR YOUR PITCH MARKS PLEASE. We all benefit from caring for our greens.

I like this a lot.. A big problem though is that Golfers want/expect to be playing competitive golf all year round. We shorten the course over the winter to protect and maintain tees and it's non stop moans and groans. Very little compassion for the course nowadays..

Golfers, the single most important thing you can do in the winter to protect your course is to carry your clubs. Nice half set in a light weight bag will protect turf, spread the wear and make playing conditions better next spring. #letscarry

When Golf Pro’s try to improve practice facilities at GC, it’s important that Clubs remember it also adds value to the product they are currently offering! Instead of seeing it as pure financial gain for the Pro a better facility will encourage recruitment and retention of Golf.

Starting tomorrow evening and all this week, The Ayrshire matchplay championships. Our own John Shanks and Darren Mallinson are competing so please come along to support. Timings: 4pm Monday, 1/4 finals 4:30pm Tuesday, Semifinals 4:45 Wednesday and final 4:45 Thursday.
