It's 68 years since Louth last won a Leinster title. There was 67 years between 1927 and Leitrim winning a second Connacht title in 1994. To paraphrase Mícheál Ó Muircheartaigh on that day in 1994: "There are Louth people looking down from the verandah of heaven and smiling this evening".
