Thrilled to have my Brookie recipe in Sue’s eagerly awaited new Baking book! Combining my love of baking and chocolate! Lovely book will make a great gift to yourself or others.
When too busy making chocolates to make traditional Xmas cake. I used my Christmas cake bar fruit mix and inspiration from @SueHLawrence whisky cake - soaked fruit mix in half a bottle of whisky overnight. Baked in bottom oven of everhot for 4 hours! Will need another!

Great opening event of @islaybookfest last night. Choir sounded fantastic, interesting and entertaining talk from The Hebridean Baker. Refreshments from Islay High School delicious. Surprised and thrilled to win 1st prize in the baking competition! Love home baking.
