Nestory Irankunda (RW/LW - 20) - Watford 🏴.
Probably the most recognized in this list for his big transfer to Bayern Munich where he unfortunately didn’t get much of a chance and never made an appearance for the senior team, he has since moved to Watford and had a decent season contributing 8 npG/A at 0.37 p90 (0.57 npxGA 🔝), with 2.44 successful dribbles p90 (99th percentile) for a bottom half team, also recording within the 99th percentile for touches inside the box (📈), another player who I believe could become one of the best in the world in his position. I love him in particular because he’s a TRUE WINGER with his explosiveness 1v1, can run in behind (could be even better), strength to shrug off any fullback, low centre of gravity, and some of the most lethal ball-striking you’ll see in the entire tournament. He might take a little while to put it all together but he has the profile to become better than a similar player like Antoine Semenyo due to the lower COG, or maybe Sadio Mane historically (a lot bulkier). Unfortunately for this World Cup, it looks like he could be reduced to a super-sub for the games vs Turkey and USA, and will come on in the last 30 to form a Front-2 with a special player i’ll mention later in this thread, largely due to the pragmatic tactical setup Popovic (Aus Coach) will employ, but he’ll sure get his opportunities to impress you viewers.
