This week, BLUE HORIZON took place - a joint Israel–Germany cyber exercise simulating a severe cyberattack scenario. This exercise marks the first practical implementation of the recent cooperation frameworks between the two countries: the agreement signed between the cyber authorities during Cyber Week, and the G2G pact signed two weeks ago during the visit of Germany’s Federal Minister of the Interior to Israel. Expert teams from Israel’s National Cyber Directorate worked side by side with professional teams from Germany, representing several German organizations, with a shared objective: building mutual familiarity, harmonizing response methods, and developing a common operational language for handling complex cyber incidents. I had the opportunity to visit Israel’s national #cybersecurity agency @Israel_Cyber and the National CERT of Israel. We exchanged knowledge to strengthen the Digital Shield of @ComunidadMadrid and improve the security of Madrid’s public services and critical infrastructures. We also shared this exchange with cybersecurity experts from Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, broadening the international perspective.
