The Prime Minister’s Office: President Trump spoke this evening with Prime Minister Netanyahu regarding the emerging memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Iran to enter into negotiations. Even though Israel is not a party to the memorandum of understanding, the Prime Minister expressed his appreciation for President Trump's commitment that the final agreement at the conclusion of negotiations will include the removal of enriched material, the dismantling of enrichment infrastructure, limits on missile production, and the cessation of Iran's support for its terrorist proxies in the region.

Prime Minister's Office announcement on behalf of the Mossad: Director of the Mossad, Roman Gofman, announced today his decision to appoint 'Aleph' to the position of Deputy Director of the Mossad and Head of the Operations Directorate. The appointment was approved by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The Government, today, in Nof Hagalil, unanimously approved a proposal by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich for a regional development plan for the Northern District for the years 2026–2030, totaling approximately NIS 4 billion. The decision that was approved today serves as a direct continuation and complementary step to the Government decision approved last week for front-line communities, which totaled approximately NIS 18 billion. Total government allocations for the northern region over the past week amount to approximately NIS 22 billion. The purpose of this decision is to provide residents of Galilee cities, towns, and villages with a comprehensive framework of solutions to attract new residents. These solutions will focus on the fields of education, health, personal security and resilience centers. The goal is to strengthen these localities and transform them into influential points with a broad, positive impact on all communities in the North and the surrounding areas. We are hitting Hezbollah very hard, eliminating hundreds of terrorists every week. And we have other challenges – a particular challenge is the drones. We are working on it. We will restore security to the North, and we will create security in the North just as we did in the South. They didn't believe us when we said the South would return and prosper. Statement by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, this evening: "A year ago, we launched a historic preemptive strike against Iran’s intention to destroy us with atomic bombs. We thwarted this immediate threat – and we also eliminated the tyrant Khamenei. If we had not acted in time and with overwhelming force – we would not be here today. And I pledge again: Iran will not have nuclear weapons. With that same determination, we acted against Hezbollah as well. Hezbollah planned to invade the Galilee with thousands of terrorists, and at the same time, it planned to devastate Israel’s cities with 150,000 missiles and rockets. We thwarted this threat as well – and we eliminated Nasrallah. And I would like to tell you: our heroic fighters are tearing Hezbollah to pieces. We continue to destroy all of their terror infrastructure in the security zone, including massive underground facilities in the Beaufort Ridge. So massive that they are unlike anything I have ever seen. Iran and Hezbollah are weaker than ever, and we are stronger than ever – but our battle against them is still not finished. In the last 24 hours, Iran and Hezbollah tried to impose a new equation upon us. And it is an equation I find intolerable and unacceptable. Haim Kalomiti, of blessed memory, a member of the Zur Natan emergency response team, who fell today in the vicious terror attack. In accordance with the directive of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz, the IDF has just struck terrorist headquarters in the Dahieh district of Beirut, in response to Hezbollah's firing at Israeli territory.

In Judea and Samaria and along the seam line, the IDF, ISA and the Israel Police foil hundreds of attacks every year, though unfortunately not all of them. This morning, an abhorrent terrorist set out, reached Kochav Yair, and unfortunately managed to murder an Israeli citizen and wound others before being neutralized. First and foremost, I praise the rapid-response teams that acted immediately against the terrorists. I praise the officers of the Israel Police who neutralized the terrorist and also apprehended his accomplice. In the Gaza Strip, we are squeezing Hamas from all sides. We currently hold over 60% of the Strip's territory, and we will soon reach 70%. We are not allowing them to rearm or harm us, and we are also eliminating their senior commanders. In Lebanon, our forces have eliminated 350 terrorists in the past week alone. They captured the Beaufort Ridge, where they discovered a massive underground infrastructure. We are completing the elimination of the terrorist villages adjacent to our border. We are striking them very hard, and we know that Hezbollah is on the run. We will not allow firing at our territory or our communities, and we will act accordingly."
