Lord willing, I will be in Chicago again next year. I miss the conference. I miss the people. I miss the compline, matins, and divine service with hundred of people from around the country and world. Oh, and I miss the Chicago style pizza.🤠

What a blast at @IssuesEtc MakingtheCaseConference. Incredibly blessed to meet @WmWeedon @bwolfmueller and President Harrison. Pastor Weedon was correct when he said the Hymn Sing alone was worth the price of admission. Couldn’t be more thankful.

And having just done the @IssuesEtc conference, let me just say how cool it was to see that they included a singles mixer in the event! And as Mollie and her friend and I were leaving last night, we spied at least 100 of them having a great time outside during a gorgeous Chicago night.
May every Christian denomination go and do likewise!

Ladies, the real reason to go to church is to hear God’s Word and receive the forgiveness of sins and strengthening of faith in the Sacraments. BUT ALSO, solid Christian churches like my LCMS Lutheran congregation have way more young men than women. Come get a man, y’all!

The election for president of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod is going to a second ballot. The second round of voting will be held June 13–16. Pastor Matt Harrison has faithfully served as president of the LCMS for 16 years. During that time, the congregations, pastors and institutions of the LCMS have increased their devotion to Lutheran teaching and practice year after year. President Harrison has pledged to continue this good work for a final three-year term. If you're a pastoral or lay voter, please vote for Pastor Harrison in the second round of voting. If you are not a voter, please encourage your congregation’s voters to do so.

I can think of hundreds of things more scary than a bunch of Lutheran laymen convening in River Forest for a some speakers, divine service and a few cigars. I guess you know you’re on the right track here when you get cancelation threats.
