The UCP has chosen to ignore the voices in Alberta concerned about healthcare, insurance costs, private medical, wasteful spending and more for 7 years Eva.
But they chose to listen to a small minority playing the perpetual victim.
Fuck off with your preaching
Demanding that citizens have a fully developed plan before they are allowed to voice concerns misses the point entirely.
Citizens are not the ones being paid to govern, develop policy, or solve public problems. Political leaders, advisors (like Ken purports to be) bureaucrats, and public institutions are. You know all the people paid by the public, to supposedly work in the public interest?!
If the people who shape policy actually cared about the future or the public interest, they would spend less time dismissing citizens and more time listening to the growing frustration of people who feel unheard, unrepresented, and increasingly disconnected from the institutions that claim to serve them.
Instead, we get endless political theatre, partisan talking points, and childish finger-pointing. More noise. Less substance.
What many citizens are asking for is not complicated: meaningful discussion, honest debate, accountability, and a genuine willingness to listen.
Is that really so hard Ken, Jason, Tyler, Thomas and friends?
Where are the serious and sophisticated conversations about the future of this country?
Because from where I sit, too many of the people shaping policy seem more interested in defending the system than addressing the concerns of the people it is supposed to serve.
That should concern all of us. In fact, this is just embarrassing to watch.
