One key feature of AppLayer is that EVM contracts can leverage C precompiles, and vice versa. For example, a DEX smart contract can be written in C to handle ordered arrays, which is impossibly costly in Solidity, while being able to access EVM ERC20 tokens.

I'm going insane. We want to update to GCC 14 to take advantage of BitInt but now a segfault is happening under very specific conditions in one of our dependencies. Spent time debugging this only to reach the strangest conclusion: A compiler bug?!?! Maybe, further debug needed.

Ends up it was a libstdc version mismatch, plus, it only happened inside the IDE that wasn't detecting the correct path for GCC 14. ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ

I've updated the benchmark to the current code (underwent multiple refactors for improved performance since last year). Now, in @AppLayerLabs BDK, a UniswapV2 swap can be completed in a single microsecond instead of 3.5, an over 3x speed improvement...
