The Lives They Took: One Name a Day
A daily record against forgetting
This time, two names, for they lived together, grew together, and breathed their last side by side.
Vahid and Hamid Arzanlou, two entrepreneurial brothers based in Tehran and well-known figures in Iran’s furniture industry, were ruthlessly gunned down by government forces during the national protests in Tehranpars this past January. They were the owners and directors of Aisa Mobl Kian, a family company that stood as a testament to their hard work for nearly two decades. Through their efforts, they had provided direct employment to hundreds and sustained the livelihoods of over a thousand people. They were men of success and relentless drive, men who cherished art, nature, and their families, managing their work with an untiring spirit. Vahid was a father of three; Hamid was a father of two.
