things to normalise in 2020:
- lgbt representation
- same sex parents
- guys showing emotion
- they/them pronouns
- feminine boys, masculine girls
- people wearing whatever they want regardless of gender
- different body types
- gender neutrality
- women in positions of power
this is going to piss some straight ppl off but listen. gay/trans 18 year olds know more about what it means to be lgbt than cishet professors with graduate degrees who have studied it their whole lives do.
bi boys who have only ever been involved with guys: you’re still bi
bi boys who have only ever been involved with girls: you’re still bi
bi boys who have never been involved with anyone: you’re still bi
thank u for your attention and congrats on your bisexuality
you know what’s one of the best things about being gay?? having gay friends who you can just be really gay with… like not romantic partners or crushes or whatever (which are awesome too) but gay friends who you can just… be unabashedly and enthusiastically yourself with
since it’s Pride Month I just want to remind you guys that bisexuality is real, is valid, that bi people don’t have to prove their sexuality to you and that they’re the b in lgbtq so they should be treated with respect within the community
YOU DON'T NEED A STRAIGHT PRIDE.
your country has never told you don't have the right to marry or tell you that loving who you love is wrong
your parents will never disown you or won’t lose your friends
no one will deny you basic services
your sexuality isn't criminalised
your lgbt pride means nothing if it doesn’t include every member of our community. people of color, disabled people, immigrants, sex workers, addicts, the mentally ill, etc. if you aren’t fighting for all of us, you’re fighting for none of us.
let boys be bisexual without saying it’s a stepping stone to being gay
let girls be bisexual without saying they’re just doing it for attention
let nb people be bisexual without telling them they’re simply confused
"It's easier to be gay"
yeah, it's easy to be pushed - be told that you're gross - be told that it's not natural - meet people who treat you weird - have friends who act weird when you come out - not at all know who's gay and might be into you - people assuming that you're str8
