In 2023, I searched Spotify for "llamaindex" on a whim, expecting no results. That's when I discovered
@latentspacepod.
Since then, I ended my 9 year career at Amazon, got back into AI, founded a YC startup, and had more fun and learned more in <2 years than the rest of my career combined.
After two years, I finally got to attend AI Engineer World's Fair and meet many of the names that inspired me.
TBH I was nervous going in. Am I too late? Has the GenAI hype machine taken over? What if people find out i haven't memorized the entire MCP spec?!
But I found a community with a welcoming, curious spirit, even after so much growth. Every circle had an open "pacman" slot to join. Every person, no matter how new or OG, was humble, curious, and as awesome as I had hoped them to be.
Hats off to
@swyx,
@Benghamine, and everyone who made this possible.
@aiDotEngineer Best Conference 2025!
