Sdumo really chewed this Jonasi role.
If this was 1999, he wouldn't make it out of his house - the aunties would've caught him at Shoprite 😭 #ThePolygamist
Jonasi walked in on Joyce pointing a gun at him and he couldn’t possibly imagine a reality where Joyce could try to kill him because he knew she loved him more than she loved herself, so he went with the idea that she was trying to commit suicide. What a sick man. 😭
People watching a show about sexual misconduct and asking “Why are there so many sex scenes?”
I’m genuinely curious how some of you thought the writers were going to tell a story about sex, coercion, consent, abuse and power dynamics. Through interpretive dance?
you’re weird if you’re “traumatised” by seeing Celeste bent over in a sex scene. news flash, “older” women, have sex. fat women, have sex. bo “auntie Celeste” ,have sex. hope that helps.
Nah the way Joyce begged Jonasi to stay and he just pushed her out the way?? I support every wrong she does moving forward because this is a humiliation ritual. #Thepolygamist
The anti apartheid movement had a deeply intellectual basis and the vast majority of the Black people involved in it were poor. The SACP was and is a working class party. The idea that poor people are incapable of examining their problems through a structural lens is classist
She is right. The educated middle class should stop intellectualising the poor's problems. Stop dismissing poor people's lived experiences simply because you have a theory about what is happening.
