BREAKING: Today, we pulled the plug on vibe coding. I just witnessed my Mac erase a $31B company in 184 seconds. This is beyond absurd.

HOW IS NEW YORK NOT DOING THIS
Over 800,000 residential units are currently proposed or approved across the City of Toronto, with the highest concentration of height and density planned in the Downtown Core. A look at the city's future skyline:

If you ask AI to rewrite the entirety of an open-source program, do you still need to abide by the original license? In philosophy, this problem is known as the Slop of Theseus

Babies being born in Cuba now and for the past few months are at extreme risk of dying or being permanently disabled because of Trump and more particularly Rubio’s strangulation of the island
It's important to just say this as bluntly as possible: if Trump's policies continue and assuming no state steps in to help, this is going to kill people. Civilians. From hunger and disease. Not being hyperbolic here.

Left hand on the ground trying not to hit the pavement; right hand still holding a cell phone. ICE person standing with a one handed grip pointing his gun right at the man’s head. There is nothing about this that we should accept. We all must reject this. This is our government

I managed to unlock a crazy new hidden feature in Claude Code called Swarms. You're not talking to an AI coder anymore. You're talking to a team lead. The lead doesn't write code - it plans, delegates, and synthesizes. When you approve a plan, it enters a new "delegation mode" and spawns a team of specialists who: - Share a task board with dependencies - Work in parallel as teammates - Message each other to coordinate work Workers do the heavy lifting, coordinate amongst themselves, then report back.

The real underlying purpose of ICE is to consolidate an extra-constitutional regime of repression under cover of immigration enforcement A straight line from the "war on drugs" to Clinton-era IIRAIRA to the Patriot Act and creation of ICE's bureaucratic parent, DHS, after 9/11

Photographer @mostafabassim1 photographed this boy walking home alone with a snack being "randomly" approached by DHS. "After he was unable to produce documentation proving his citizenship, agents informed him that he was under arrest." He said, "Can I just go home?" Answer: No.

Calling this unconstitutional is doing a disservice to the language. The King ordering troops to enter homes, using "General Warrants" in search of contraband, etc was one of the main sparks of the American Revolution. Warrantless search and seizure is the main function of ICE.

Once you build a massive ā€œdeportationā€ machine, an industry really, it will not stop with one category of immigrants, or immigrants at all. It will self-perpetuate new classes of people to detain, to fill detention beds and meet removal quotas. It will create a meal to feast on.

We introduced a bill to restore year-round open dining and make it easier for restaraunts. Outdoor dining was a silver lining of the pandemic, and New Yorkers want it back. We can simplify the process for restaurants to secure permits and give us more places to dine together.
Outdoor dining may soon return to New York City’s vibrant streets all year-round, despite winter weather, if a Brooklyn lawmaker gets his way. amny.com/business-finance/ou…
