I've done some improvements to the Erosion filter from my last tweet, and I experimented around with painting the landscape with different stone types and snow here.
I implemented a custom Erosion Filter node for Hytale's Worldgen v2! It takes an existing terrain heightmap and adds this erosion effect onto it. Based on work by @runevision and others.
I've spent the past ~2 months diving deep into modding Hytale's Worldgen v2 engine, among other things. It's a really powerful system, and it can produce amazing results like this.
Here is some terrain for these plateaus, with these stepped badlands-like cliffs to transition into the wastelands. I love how this terrain has turned out, especially the cliffs!

I've decided to call this World the Jungle Highlands! I'm very happy with how this project has turned out, I think I learned a lot of new techniques here, and it's helped me figure out my workflow when creating with Worldgen v2! (More pictures in thread)

Getting close to finishing this project up! Jungle vegetation/other props are done! I just need to populate the oceans now. I'm really happy with how this is turning out so far!

Progress update on the previous post! I have finished the terrain shaping and also mapping out the blocks in the terrain. Next up is adding foliage and other props, including some nice Jungle trees to really sell the vibe.
