Kasparov is 100% right. NATO is a joke, Trump is a grifter selling out Europe’s security, and Ukraine is saving all our butts while we squabble. Kasparov is totally fed up and says Europe/NATO are a joke for celebrating while Ukraine is doing all the fighting and dying to save them from putin. He rips into the West's pathetic aid and hesitation, and calls the whole idea of a "deal" to end the war a "real estate deal" to enrich Trump's buddies at Ukraine's expense. He basically says: Stop stalling, NATO is weak, Trump is selling you out, and if Ukraine loses, you guys are next! “I'm getting desperate. This is the best, you know, show putin can hope for. Not a single straight answer. It's not about how many weapons you have, ammunition. It's: Are you willing to fight and die? Oh, it's nice, you have a Canadian Led Brigade in Latvia. What's the order for this brigade? Will they shoot if Russians cross the border? We know the answer. It will take ages to negotiate. I still didn't hear a clear response to it. It's not, you know, I can't even imagine this. How can we discuss seriously a deal made by Trump's business partner? You know, it's a real estate deal to enrich Trump's family and and and sell Ukraine. And it's it's, yeah, how can we seriously discuss that Ukraine will have to give up fortifications that are saving Europe? Ah, we're celebrating NATO. NATO is not strong. NATO doesn't exist. It's a fake. It's NATO, four letters. The reason you are still sitting here and and celebrating it: Ukraine is dying every minute. It’s massive sacrifice. If not for Ukraine, if not for Ukraine standing, Russian tanks would be already in Poland. You all suggested that Ukraine would give up. You offered Zelenskyy a ride, and he said, "I don't need a ride, I need ammunition." For years, Ukraine is fighting for the whole Europe. NATO was built to fight only one war—not to go to Afghanistan, not to go to Syria—one war: to save free Europe from Russian aggression. Ukraine is the only country that is fighting this war, and we are still discussing: Should we include them or not? Ukraine is the only country that that is fulfilling NATO's destiny. And we we owe them everything. Oh, let's let's let's sacrifice them. But Zelenskyy is making in, I don't know even how to explain this choice. As a Russian, I also feel guilty. That's why I cannot tell him, you know, show Trump, Trump middle finger. But again, we have how many senators we have here? Are you going to tell Donald Trump that he cannot do that? You have 85. 85. 85 is more than two, yes? If I'm out of 100 senator. So, yes, how how how come that, you know, this bill is still sitting somewhere in in in on on on the floor of the Senate, and it's not still being being done? putin is seeing all others, they are celebrating it. And by the way, Russia has North Korean, they have Cubans, they have Africans volunteers. So, and we're still talking about escalation. We have everything: military, political, economic powers on our on our side, and we're still losing the war. It's thanks to Ukraine, Russia is not fulfilling Putin's dream of restoring restoring uh Russian empire. But if, God forbid, Ukraine is forced to make this deal, then, very clear, Putin will will will realize his dream, and then, guys, you're next. But you are not willing willing to fight.” he said.

Poviem to jazykom, ktorému rozumie aj Robert Fico. Ja som svoju milenku na Úrade vlády SR nezamestnal. Ani som ju nevozil vládnym špeciálom na rokovania s Angelou Merkel, aby o nich mohla hovoriť svojim kamošom z talianskej mafie.

we do not, and never will, live in a world where David Navara cheats at chess Kramnik’s scattergun approach is just embarrassing at this point and the people encouraging him (including some top players) should be ashamed

The cheating scandal continues, but is this justified? Recently, former World Champion Vladimir Kramnik joined the list of players who accuse Hans Niemann of cheating at chess. Kramnik gave an extended explanation of qualitative evidence based on his blitz game against Niemann. I am not qualified to evaluate this evidence, but @GMJacobAagaard recently made a very reasonable rebuttal to Kramnik in his Twitter page. Kramnik went a bit further later and presented some statistical evidence. Apparently, Kramnik thought that greater variability in accuracy is proof of cheating, but this is not the case. If Hans was cheating in some games and not others, his distribution of accuracy rates would be skewed. When he cheats, his games would presumably be more accurate, creating an imbalance between higher and lower than average accuracy in his games. But Niemann could be getting assistance only in certain moves, perhaps in key moves. However, his chesscom statistics look extremely normal. For comparison, Nieamnn has slightly fewer best moves than Hikaru, slightly more blunders and missed opportunities, and a slightly lower accuracy rate. In addition, his accuracy has been remarkably consistent over time, and also rather consistent throughout the game. If Niemann was cheating regularly, he would have to keep in mind these parameters during the game, making sure he balances out good and bad moves, and maintaining his average accuracy within range. He would also have to make sure his results are in agreement with the rating-based expectation, as shown by his public stats. In my view, it is impossible for a human to manage all this while playing blitz games, apart from the fact that he probably doesn't even know about it. A third possibility would be to cheat with a handicapped bot of the kind chessdotcom provides for their users. Niemann could have adjusted all these parameters with the help of a programmer. The problem is that it is murderously hard to make those bots play realistic human moves. It would also be very difficult to implement the method in real time in such short games without giving away clues. For instance, his accuracy could drop by the end of the game as he has to start making his own moves due to lack of time. Nevertheless, Hans stats don't show such bias. A fourth possibility is that Niemann is cheating so sparsely that there is not enough statistical power to detect it. There is very little one can do to catch such infrequent cheating. However, this would not improve his results in any significant way. Kramnik seemed to be grossed out by Nieman's moves, particularly in the endgame, and he was puzzled that his rating can be so high with such a poor understanding of chess (by Kramnik standards). But these things happen: there are many ways to be good at chess. My conclusion is that Niemann is probably just an awesome blitz chess player with great opening preparation but dreadful endgame technique (compared to Kramnik). Any insight or comment is highly appreciated 💜

Elon Musk famously said that "chess is too simple". Here are some facts: ➢ The best players in the world can hardly make a single draw against the best computers, let alone win against them. ➢ Unlike other games such as checkers, chess hasn't been solved, and it is very far away from being solved. ➢ The number one player in the world is more than 50 Elo points ahead of the second. It is not like the game is so simple that you cannot get ahead. Chess is simple enough for humans to grasp it but complex enough to allow for indefinite mastery. Of course, you can always make a game arbitrarily more complex, but is that really the point? #ElonMusk #Chess
