The very first instrument of the Rech Research Lab has arrived! Meet our new microwave reactor from @CEMcorporation. Undergraduate students will use this to synthesize new conjugated polymers for organic solar cells.

We've shown that you can grow plants under semi-transparent solar cells, but is the produce the same?? Check out our new work in @FrontPlantSci - genomic analysis shows how lettuce actually has improved nutrient content when grown under OPVs!

New work published in @WaterRes_J! We report a #Battery based on electrodialysis. Osmosis ruins the efficiency, so we explore a variety of ballast to stop osmosis. In the end, we show that we can make a battery using salt, sugar, & water! Check it out: authors.elsevier.com/c/1eSmg…

Also, another @AdvSciNews (Adv Funct Mater) article from collaboration with Dr. O'Connor's lab at NCSU! This is a great study which relates the transitions observed via DMA to chemical structure of common conjugated polymers used in organic electronics.
