FLORIDA: Watching a decent chance of some severe storms on Saturday. Looks to me like it will favor north Florida where better instability and wind shear are present. Analogs are highlighting a solid similarity to previous events that produced severe storms. First image: CIPS analogs show elevated probabilities, esp. north and western Florida. Remaining images are 3 of the top analogs of how similar the atmosphere was setup. April 1, 2020 March 31, 2011 April 8, 2018 Triangles = tornadoes, blue squares severe wind gusts, green triangles severe hail. The 3/31/2011 event probably is a too significant of an analog, but the others seem fair. @fox35orlando

Severe weather in the forecast for the Florida Panhandle, Parts of Alabama and Georgia (slight risk yellow). Tornadoes are possible with any storm out ahead of the squall. Make sure to have a way to get warnings. Me and a couple others will be out and about keeping an eye out.

Winter Storm Warnings have been expanded across SW Georgia, SE Alabama, & parts of the Panhandle of Florida. Expect 1-2" of snow with isolated 3" in some spots.
