So grateful to Beyond 6 Seconds for inviting me onto their podcast to share my journey with FASD. Thank you so much.
In my latest episode, @JB_TalksFASD describes how getting a late diagnosis of Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder completely transformed how she viewed herself and her previously unexplained physical and mental health struggles: beyond6seconds.net/229 #FASDawareness #KnowFASD #FASD

Karyn wants all young people in her community who live with FASD to thrive. That’s why she established Auntie’s Place. It's a community-led safe space where young people learn about alcohol and other drugs, and mental health, from local aunties and uncles. #RedShoesRock #FASD

I'M READY! I'll be rocking my #redshoes this September for #fasdawarenessmonth 🙌🏽 Alcohol and pregnancy do not mix, but we can drive prevention through awareness and support. Please help by getting involved and spreading the word "there is no safe level" #knowfasd

Throughout September we encourage everyone to wear red shoes or socks to spark conversations about this largely invisible disability. And there’s a bunch of ways to get involved!

No surpises here. Again we see the #alcoholindustry given a pass by our federal and state governments. I recently attended a summit with a focus on improving prenatal health without mention of #alcoholandpregnancy and its consequences. These decisions stink of agenda. Shameful.
“Why was alcohol not mentioned once in the outcomes of the National Cabinet meeting on violence against women? The reluctance to talk about alcohol not only invalidates the lived experience of these survivors, but creates policy paralysis.” womensagenda.com.au/latest/a…

Im beyond. Thank you for those who have supported and scaffolded me to be in a place to help drive prevention through awareness. Alcohol in pregnancy is harmful with lifelong consequences, but we can create better outcomes with understanding and informed support #fasdawareness
