What is the best way to teach year 9 maritime students a manoeuvre called ferry gliding? Take them in the school minibus on the Woolwich ferry. All part of their docks local knowledge

I was presented this by my sixth form maritime students today in their first maritime lesson back after their epic week. Highlight was the 24 hour sail up Channel where the strong winds frayed the Ensign so they signed it and brought it to class they are a great bunch of students

This week will have our sixth form maritime students a real adventure, as well as deep appreciation of the shipping forecast and passage planning for the level 3 RQF Award in Maritime Studies with @openawards that these students are studying alongside A levels and BTECs.
The students of Year 12 & 13 from London Nautical School crewing the Tall Ships week long voyage off the south coast of England. The voyage is provided fully funded by the school as part of our Nautical Studies offer, as the school supports students into their Maritime careers
