Crews have continued to make progress throughout the day, having now restored approximately 94% of the 52,000 customers affected by last night's storms. JCP&L crews, joined by hundreds of contractors, will continue their around-the-clock efforts overnight -
Estimated restoration times are available at: spr.ly/NJOutageMap and will continue to be updated as crews make progress on repairs. The majority of the damage is tree-related, making for some of the most time-consuming, labor-intensive repairs.

After a storm, we first clear hazards like downed lines. Once it's safe, we assess damage so our crews can make repairs. Then:
1️⃣ High-voltage lines that provide electricity to local lines
2️⃣ Public service facilities
3️⃣ Outages with the most customers
4️⃣ Individual customers
📣 Customers who are without power due to yesterday's storms can pick up free water and ice at several local stores. You can obtain a voucher at the Customer Service desk.

JCP&L crews, assisted by hundreds of contractors, are continuing around-the-clock efforts to safely restore power following last night's thunderstorms. Power has been restored to all but 11,500 of the approximately 52,000 customers who were affected by the weather.
Our northern NJ service area is hardest hit, with extensive tree damage caused by wind gusts of up to 65 mph. Central NJ crews will assist northern crews with restoration throughout the day. Estimated restoration times (ETRs) will be updated as crews complete damage assessments.
