If health insurers have enough liquid equity to act as a bank to provide loans to help people pay for their care, then it's also true that they have enough liquid equity to pay a higher cost-sharing so that people don't have to borrow money in the first place. 🙄

The Trump administration is quietly moving to change the Affordable Care Act to let health insurers offer people loans to pay for their care.
Deep in a document over 1,000 pages long about how the Affordable Care Act market will operate next year, the administration suggests that insurers consider offering loans to cash-strapped customers.
Under this approach, people who develop a costly disease or need unexpected emergency care would turn to their health insurer for loans.
A third of American households already have medical debt, and this approach would mean even more debt that patients owe to their health insurance companies.
The insurers, who already make billions, would stand to make even more.

A data center in Georgia used 30 million gallons of water illegally, and locals only noticed when their water pressure was abnormally low.
The data center claimed it was an honest mistake, but locals were told by the town to conserve water while the data center kept running.

I worked on a Spanish based film that ended up winning a spirit award.
The actress also ended up nominated for best actress competing against Salma Hayak and Francis McDormand.
Used my car for everything. And worked 15 hour days on set. Criminal.
I was paid maybe 1200. MAYBE

That is a travesty for anyone on a movie, especially now. People operate on rates from 2005 and it’s killing people’s desire to do this
I’ve had to threaten to walk off films in order for people to get paid more. Or threaten to fight LPs because I know they’re shorting pay.

“That’s how it was when I came up” sure but we are not in the 1980s anymore. Or the 2010s.
People deserve to get paid adequately and be a part of profits when there are some to be had. Their work should be just as valued as the directors, writers, and producers.
