Today is the 115th anniversary of the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory Fire. The tragedy killed 146 workers, shocking the nation and galvanizing the labor movement. Because of the event, many of the workplace safety and health protections workers enjoy today were codified into law.

We’ve made it clear: Tier 6 reform is nonnegotiable for our members. Tag your state senator, assemblymember, Governor Hochul, Assembly Speaker Carl Heastie and Senate Majority Leader Andrea Stewart-Cousins.
