Live look at Cowley in his flannel sitting with Thibs in his basement, just knowing that Brunson will be thanking Thibs from the championship podium ...

Wemby was only 29.3 mpg final 24 regular-season games. They should have been ramping him up. He averaged 39.8 in the Finals and was looked gassed every fourth quarter. Meanwhile, Knicks learned to excel in heavy minutes in previous seasons. Forged in fire!

Thrilled for the Apple… big cities should do big things. Owners in Chicago need to take note and step their game up.

Load management post All-Star Break has killed Wemby late in these games. Facts SOMP (Sad Obese Minutes Police) like to ignore.

Cavs won 35 LeBron’s rookie year … Bulls won 38 MJ’s first season. Whats your point?
Replying to @JCowleyHoops
the exact number of wins Mavs had in getting Flagg was 39, which equaled what the Bulls had.

"At some point being the best player in the world has to matter in the 4th quarter of close games. Sometimes you gotta quit being passive and take over." - Michael Jeffery Jordan ... and that's called checkmate, Capt. SOMP!
"Spacing is discipline and respect. Discipline because you're getting yourself to the spot that you're supposed to be in, and respect because you're giving your teammate with the basketball the space to play." - Steve Kerr x.com/nbacrazystats/status/2…

Knicks are now 5-3 the last two postseasons when down 20-plus. Sounds like when you are taught to play to win every game, every possession, and do so when exhausted in the 4th, good things happen .. hmmmm, wonder where this crew learned that. #SOMP (stupid obese minutes police)

Great take, JC. Here’s video of KAT fleeing on the very last play of the game. Tied series thanks to KAT’s 4th quarter collapse. Everyone in NY is right now chanting for the Knicks to’ve kept Randle and Thibs. They even ran on to the court to yell it all night long—you’re right.

Brunson season before Thibs - 16.3 ppg 37% 3-pt shooter. With Thibs? 24 ppg Year 1, 28.7 ppg Year 2, 40-plus% 3-pt shooter both years, won Clutch Player of the Year last season. Thibs gave him the DRose playbook and he has taken it to another level. Great Chicago story.

He was really good in Games 1 and 2 for the first three quarters, but when you know ball, you know he runs from the moment. Always has. Some run to danger, Kitty KAT flees ... or fouls. I get why the stat nerds and betas embrace him, but he is the anti-Mamba.

I agree that OG has been the man. He’s shooting 55 % from anywhere on the court. My problem is saying Kat’s stunk. Kats played well. Good for him. To me, NY is just a smarter team.

“All created by the fact that Karl-Anthony Towns had Wemby lifted, looking for that 3-point shot” - NBA Insider Tim Legler. KAT’s 245 in these 2026 playoffs is the largest - total in NBA History.
