Sammy Hagar was the main event of course. As he put it, this was not a concert. This was a party. So much fun! So far this was the best show I have seen this year. Here’s a clip from when he came on stage doing Why Can’t This Be Love. There’s a lot of audience noise and too much audience singing so don’t judge the sound. The highlight for me was Right Now. It was a holy moment! Sammy did a lot of Van Halen songs and it really made me understand how much Michael Anthony was key to Van Halen’s sound. Joe Satriani is a freak of nature. I have never seen a guitarist play the way he does. Just incredible. Our weather was perfect despite all of the severe storm warnings it missed us entirely. We had a blast on the lawn and then in the last half hour of the show, one of Garrett’s friends was leaving early and gave us his seats in center row M! Fantastic way to finish it out.

Concert update: Rick Springfield opened and honestly, it was fantastic. Yes it was very 1980s and a little bit hokey, incredibly nostalgic, but everyone had so much fun. Rick Springfield looks like he is in his 40s. Rick is gorgeous and fit, aging very well. (76!) His voice was strong and his musicianship and band were top-notch. He opened his set with a fun video compilation of all the references to Jessie‘s Girl in pop culture. If you get a chance to see this tour, do it.

I tried to cut it shorter, but I screwed it up somehow. The singing doesn’t start till about the middle of the video.

Become the most valuable person you can be. Focus on becoming more than acquiring. We create endless blessings once we become valuable.

The love being withheld is not punishing the person who caused the pain. It is quietly becoming the pain itself.

Forgiveness has nothing to do with excusing what happened. It is a biological event. When the emotional charge tied to a memory is released, the memory loses its power. What remains is the wisdom from the experience, without the suffering attached to it. The brain is now free. The body is no longer living in the past. Energy that was locked inside that emotional loop becomes available to create something new.

The person who carries resentment is not being defined by what happened to them. They are being defined by the emotion they never overcame. And that emotion, running quietly in the background, shapes every relationship, every decision, and every outcome that follows.

Every unresolved emotion from a past experience keeps the nervous system anchored to that moment in time. The brain, wired to predict the next moment based on what it has already learned, will keep recreating the same reality until the emotional charge attached to that memory is fully processed and released. If we don't do the work, we stay stuck in negative loops of behavior and experience.

Damn. It's supposed to thunderstorm ALL day and night, and I have lawn seats to Sammy Hagar this evening. Well, sheeeeeee-it. Maybe it'll get done early. I don't think they cancel these things but maybe I'm wrong. Woke up too early, in the 5:00 hour. Tried to go back to sleep but just couldn't do it. Got up at 5:45, took care of my cats, etc. If I do stay up for the show tonight, I'll be tired! Looks like today will be a good day to do a lot of cooking. Hope you have a great Saturday. I'm going to run hills before this thunderstorm comes in.

#GM I had a tarot reading in the 7 a.m. hour (from Italy) and then had to run my hills before the heat, so I'm late to the party here on X. Weird dreams: I was on a reality TV show called My Life/My World. I was having dinner with a guy on the show and he decided I should hear him reenact lines by Kramer on Seinfeld. He was trying to be the character and I was not impressed. Then, I was in a restroom with a lot of other women. I went to use the soap, which was a blue cube, and it jumped out of my hands and leaped around the bathroom all over. Other women watched and said it was possessed! I said it was "a sign of things to come." Then, I was working tarot for a big event. I kept forgetting things (tablecloth, signs) and had to make multiple trips home. I had a box of little metal models of planets. They were unassembled, split in half, and I had to put the hemispheres together to do something magical. That's all! Yoga next and then tarot readings this afternoon. Hope you have a Friday of Frivolity!
