Monday's court decision clearing Brendan Sorsby to play was awful enough. But somehow, Texas Tech's response and "PR tactics," if we can even call them that, have been even worse. TTU's work this week has been an astonishingly poor attempt to smooth things over. Unbelievable.

I love how someone from a different country is visiting places like Helen and Brasstown Bald and is seemingly in awe. Georgia is pretty freakin’ rad.

Not to harp on it but its really funny to hear some people argue “hey it was a mixed reaction, it wasn’t all boos” and then you click on this and it’s just the deepest, from the gut, loudest boos you’ve ever heard. Like just objectively the most negative response from the crowd.

This type of commentary is precisely the reason Georgia's outstanding sports comms department rejected an interview with Barstool. I'm extra proud to be a Georgia alumnus today knowing my school turned down Portnoy. Go Dawgs!

Trump’s egregious (repeat) lie about Jan. 6 in the new NBC interview he walked out of: “They had FBI agents ushering them into the building. They had FBI: ‘Go into the building.’” There’s precisely no evidence this happened. DOJ’s inspector general found that the FBI had zero undercover agents in the Capitol crowd. Kash Patel has himself debunked a Trump-promoted conspiracy theory on this subject, saying FBI agents were merely deployed to do crowd control after the police declared a riot. And of the dozens of Jan. 6 defendants who tried a “the cops let me in” defense, just one (1) was acquitted. Even in that case, the acquitting judge said that though the defendant reasonably believed he was being allowed in, the officers in question were actually overrun by the crowd and standing back reasonably and responsibly, not explicitly encouraging anyone to enter. (And they weren’t FBI.)
