14 million cards in queue. 14 million opportunities to guess the grade. 14 million potential raw to graded prediction markets. That’s the size and scale.
PSA launching a backlog tracker is good transparency. But a 14M card active queue makes one thing obvious: The “before the slab” window is a real market. Collectors need a way to price grade uncertainty before the card comes back. Guess the grade. Back your conviction. Let the final grade settle the outcome. That’s what is being built at the JK Index. TCG grading prediction markets.

“Money can go to zero. Rules should not.” That is the line. And it is why I think new market primitives need to be built with restraint. With something new like TCG grading prediction markets, clarity has to come first. For JK Index, Before the Slab starts with PSA because the settlement layer needs an objective source of truth. The markets resolve around PSA outcomes. The engine is being built around those outcomes. Once users take a position, the rules cannot move. The outcome cannot get reinterpreted. The settlement path should be boring. But it should be impossible to pivot away from. That is how a new market earns trust.
First of all, I want to sincerely thank @WSJ and @aosipovich for covering my Polymarket case and taking the time to understand the full story. But of course, the thank-you list does not stop there. I also want to thank @TheBlockCo , @cryptodotnews , @CryptoTimes_io , @FXFinanceFeeds , @DeFiRate , @bitget , @kucoincom , @MEXC , @LBank_Exchange , @YahooFinance , Crypto Economy, CVJ, BigGo Finance, Cryptonews.net, 0xzx, Westlaw Today, BitcoinFoundation.org, SonDakika, Haberler, Star-activation, Due Diligence Hub RSS, and all the other media platforms, aggregators, translators, mirror sites, and multilingual repost pages that paid attention to this issue. I never imagined that losing around $35,000 on a prediction market would accidentally turn into a small international media tour. Jokes aside, I am truly grateful that so many people were willing to look into the details of this case. For me, this is not only about one trade or one loss. It is about whether users can trust written market rules, whether platforms should be transparent when resolving disputes, and whether prediction markets can truly earn mainstream trust. Thank you to everyone who listened, reported, shared, translated, reposted, mirrored, aggregated, or simply cared. Money can go to zero. Rules should not.

33 days of Guess the Grade from PSAProfessor on IG. Every time, collectors show up for one question: “What will it grade?” That moment before the reveal is what we’re building around. The behavior already exists. Before the Slab. TCG grading prediction markets.

We are still interviewing content creators and growth operators! Interested? DM's are open!
Creators are going to shape the future of collecting just as much as marketplaces. They’re usually the first to notice when a card starts to matter. Looking for a few who want to help build what comes next. DMs open 📥

After announcing a temporary pause to Value tiers in order to protect the submissions already in our care, we saw another surge in submissions which pushed our active queue to nearly 14 million cards. We also made a commitment to transparency, which is why we’ve launched the PSA Backlog Tracker. Updated bi-weekly, the tracker uses the same numbers reviewed by PSA management. We expect Value tiers will reopen once the global backlog reaches 5 million units. psacard.com/info/backlog-tra…

Need a TCG native growth operator for the JK Index. Someone who gets raw cards, grading , regrades, comps, creators, shops, and collector communities. Before the Slab is early, weird, and very real. If that sounds interesting to you 👇

Every collector wants the 10. But if it comes back a 9, there should be a way to price that risk before the grade is known. Before the Slab will let collectors trade raw to graded outcomes. The market already exists. The Index is just building the rails for it.

One of my favorite things about Before the Slab is that there is no inventory bottleneck. We don’t need warehouses full of cards. Collectors already have the supply. Millions of cards sitting in binders, collections, and shops. Before the Slab is the missing piece. 👌
Some call it Guess the Grade. We call it Before the Slab. That moment after a card is found, but before the grade is known. Right now, we have PSA integrated. Next comes TAG, CGC, Beckett, and more. But the important part is that the behavior already exists. Psaprofessor posted Day 31 of Guess the Grade 10 hours ago. 263 votes. 674 likes. 221 shares. Collectors are already debating the gap between a 9 and a 10. Centering. Corners. Surface. Eye appeal. We’re just building the market layer around something collectors already love.
