joe rogan is an experiment in exposing people to higher openness to new experience than 99% of internet rationalists without any of the abstruse jargon
This Rogan observation is wrong, using a framework which itself is incorrect. Like saying the sky is red because it's below us and heavier colors fall downwards. This hasn't been a ha-ha funny situation for a few years now.
#NagornoKarabakh: scenes of panic in the streets of #Stepanakert. People run for cover as artillery strikes can be heard in the back. Children are experiencing some of the most terrifying moments of their lives.
DRESS TO IMPRESS?: People are furious after the Senate dropped its dress code requirement โ and theyโre saying there is only one lawmaker to blame. Why the bar is being โloweredโ: trib.al/9IAJt5G
After seeing bluesky it's funny how much of a 1:1 clone it is. Jack the techno-libertarian got bitcoin brain and then... twitter just spins this thing out into a separate entity? And then it gets investment with the pitch deck of "imagine if Twitter didn't have any users?"
And then, of course, everyone's on the default server anyway-- for reasons that are obvious to anyone who's spent an hour on twitter, let alone the founder of Twitter or people who have worked on it-- entirely nixing it's reason for existence, the decentralization. Incredible.
Quite amazing. My book reached number 23 rank on Amazon site-wide, that's among all books in all categories. I am flattered and amazed! I don't think an obscure Platonist graduate thesis ever had this level of spread...or any PhD thesis for that matter. Maybe Kissinger's?
Spin it any way you want. The way Romney was treated made Republicans want someone "strong" who "fought back." Try to wash your hands of it all you want, but that behavior is one of the mothers of Trumpism.
Have other projects coming online while trying to have a family life & so am giving up chirpa.co, but in case anyone wants to invest a quarter-mil bringing a fitbit for birds to market: I can definitely return your investment profitably but definitely cannot 10x it.
It's crazy how you can just look at an old photo like this of Toledo Ohio and realize how fundamentally urban American prosperity was once upon a time. We truly had an abundance of great cities from coast to coast, and instead of bringing them forward with us we decimated them.
