In 1920, The Kodak Employees Realty Corporation was formed and undertook several housing projects to assist employees. By 1938 almost 500 houses had been built.
They also established a Loan company to advise employees and make things as easy as possible to finance their home.
In 1926 they bought "Meadowbrook", an area of Brighton only 12-15 minutes from Downtown Rochester.
Here is a glimpse at some of the materials they gave out to advertise the new homes which ran $10,000–$25,000.
My hot take on the whole,
“Boomers relocated, why can’t you?”
Many white collar Boomers worked for Fortune 50 companies
These companies PAID RELOCATION EXPENSES
One time in the 1980s, the company bought a house from my dad when they relocated him because it wouldn’t sell
The company later sold the home for a loss, not him
