I teach a course at the @JohnsHopkinsSPH and I am trying to figure out how to handle student use of AI tools. Saying "forbidden!" seems out-of-touch in 2026. Considering leaning into transparency and accountability instead. Thoughts? Experience?

Co-leading the development of the Digital Healthcare Equity Framework with my colleague, Dr. Elham Hatef, was a true privilege. I hope the framework is a helpful tool for improving health equity.

Diagnostic error is the most underfunded public health crisis in America today. For nearly 400K deaths, Dx Error research gets <$75/death (some diseases get >$400,000/death). To achieve Diagnostic Excellence (DX), this must change. #DollarsForDX @DNewmanToker @HopkinsDXCenter
An @JHM_Armstrong @HopkinsDXCenter report estimates 795,000 Americans suffer serious harms from diagnostic error annually. Missed stroke is the #1 cause. Researchers point to a path forward for improved diagnosis across health care settings. dx.doi.org/10.1136/bmjqs-202…
