After 46 days of a measured military response in the Gaza Strip, Hamas has been compelled to play its hand. Now, we find ourselves in a 4-day pause in Gaza, a component of the deal Israel negotiated for the release of these hostages. In the upcoming days, there will be significant pressure on Israel to extend this pause and refrain from military action. It's essential to emphasize that, without the military advantage gained in recent weeks, Hamas wouldn't have released our citizens. Without a continued military response, we risk abandoning 200 hostages to a grim fate. Israel remains unwavering in its commitment to leaving no one, man, woman, or child, behind.
