Coping with the systematic collapse of our institutions. When the controversy surrounding the removal of former Chief Justice of Nigeria, Walter Onnoghen, unfolded, I expressed a concern to a friend: that the greatest damage might not be immediate, but the message it sends about the sanctity and independence of our institutions to the world. Strong economies are built on trust. Investors can manage security risks, policy risks, and even market risks. What they fear most is uncertainty in the rule of law and a judiciary that is perceived to be vulnerable to political pressure. Today, many Nigerians have lost confidence in systems that should protect them. Businesses increasingly request that their contracts be governed by foreign jurisdictions because they have greater confidence in those institutions than in our own. That should concern every patriot. We must never sacrifice our sacred institutions on the altar of politics. Nations rise when institutions are stronger than individuals. "The federal High Court Judgement ordering the de-registration of the ADC and other political parties is just one of those activities that further reduces the common man's trust in our legal systems" it should be reversed. I pledge that we will restore the dignity, independence, and integrity of the Judiciary. The common man must have a voice. The business community must be protected from legal uncertainty and intimidation. Justice must be impartial, accessible, and respected by all. To our judges, legal luminaries, senior advocates, and lawyers: this is your moment. Rise, defend the rule of law, take back your country! A New Nigeria is POssible. -PO

Dear well-meaning Nigerians, the presidential candidate of the @NigeriaNDCHQ has consistently encouraged us not to relent in our quest for a Nigeria that works. A Nigeria where the safety of lives and property is a top priority. A Nigeria where elected officials do not play politics with governance. A Nigeria where accountability is valued above sycophancy. A Nigeria where our resources are properly harnessed, and human development is central. Where education is affordable, accessible, and the welfare of citizens is truly improved. To build this Nigeria, Peter Obi needs you, and I need you, to register for your PVCs (voter’s card), so we are eligible to vote and defend our votes. For those in Abuja, we will be hosting a PVC registration party this Saturday at Uzzitzz Event Centre, Mabushi. Come, engage, and have a good time while we help you resolve any PVC-related challenges. #NigeriaWillBeOk

Dear beloved sports-loving Nigerian youths, After watching the performances of Davido, Burna Boy, and Rema at the opening of the 2026 World Cupβ€”at a time when Nigeria, the giant of Africa, is absentβ€”I felt a measure of consolation. This was reinforced by the fact that many Nigerians playing for clubs worldwide are representing other countries. Felix Nmecha, for instance, set a record by scoring the fastest goal at six minutes for Germany. I write to you therefore, knowing that this country belongs to you, the youth. You are more of stakeholders in Nigeria’s future than I am. I am 64 years old; by God’s grace, much of my journey is behind me, while yours lies ahead. It is therefore imperative that you rise to the challenge by obtaining your PVC, your most powerful tool for driving the change you desire. In the last three years alone, over 15 million Nigerians have turned 18β€”enough to decide who becomes President, Governor, Senator, Member of the House, or Local Government Chairman. Indeed, enough to shape the nation’s future. I know many of you are sceptical about politics and political parties. I understand why, but scepticism must not become surrender. You do not need to belong to any party or wait for anyone to organise you. Organise yourselves in your streets, campuses, communities, workplaces, churches, mosques, and social groups. Mobilise, debate, demand accountability, and take part in choosing those you wish to entrust with leadership. If you are organised and wish to hear directly from me, invite me. I will come and share my plans for you and our nation. Do not sit on the sidelines while others decide your future. I appeal to you to register and vote. Your vote can shape who becomes the next President of our country. My young friends, this is your country. Take it back. A New Nigeria is POssible. -PO

I’m now reduced to begging. I have no job, no opportunities, and nothing to hold on to, all because of bad governance. Tinubu has turned things from bad to worse. None of the promises he made has been kept. How did we get here? This suffering is too much. β€” An old Yoruba woman crying

My case is similar sha. When I refused to stepdown, The Leadership of NDC begged me to go for HOA, and promised to muscle the ticket from who ever won the HOA primaries. I refused because I don’t want to be an enabler of party injustice and marginalization. My LGA (etsako central) is divided into 4 zones, Fugar Aviawhun Ekperi South Uneme. I’m from south Uneme zone, and the current LGA chairman elect is also from my zone. The outgoing HOa member is from Ekperi zone Fugar is left with nothing, and it’s only normal for HOA to go to fugar zone. Fugar brought forth 4 young and vibrant HOa aspirants, now imagine me trying to bully them because I have external powers. Nah…. That’s not my character, I’m not that desperate. On the other hand, HOR was a perfect fit for me, because I’m from EC and I live in EW, so I have the required spread across the constituency, and the current Senator and Former Governor was from EW. So it’s just normal for HOR to go to EC. But again, Jaja of opobo no gree allow me breath. I’m just puting this out for posterity and for my constituents to know so tomorrow somone will not come and say I said I’m too big for HOA ✌🏽 PS - this tweet is not for everyone sha, because 70% of you will not relate. ✌🏽
If this is true, Aisha sef nor try at all! How’s she bigger than HOR? Same HOR wey dem deny @mrUmanu_Elijah

NDC presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi responds to Kenneth Okonkwo's recent criticism. "I can never act rascally. I have never been known as someone who operates rascally; I always operate within the rules and guidelines. It is easy for anyone to say anything against me, but the fact remains that I will never be part of what I am trying to change. If I wanted that, I would have done it when I left office as governor and taken all the money like any other person." Mr Peter Obi on recent interview on NoireTV

Isn’t it funny that, as you claim, I was in Primary 2 when Peter Obi was governor? That means there was a time in Nigeria when young people were entrusted with positions of authority and responsibility. In the case of Peter Obi, he governed effectively, leaving behind measurable results and testimonials. From the Melinda Gates Foundation on the achievement of SDGs, to the Inspector General of Police on security, WAEC on education, and even in the area of prudent financial management, etc. Unfortunately, that is not the reality many young Nigerians live today. Many young Nigerians are struggling to access positions of leadership, and even some who have been fortunate enough to get there have misused the opportunity. Too many people in their 30s and 40s have become comfortable being media aides for smear campaigns, propaganda tools, and agents of ethnic division, with little interest in building a legacy of service or leadership. Their level of ambition pales in comparison to their counterparts in more functional societies. What makes this even more interesting is that the same β€œPrimary 2 girl” is today the photographer of the same governor , who happens to be the leading presidential candidate of the most populous country in Africa. Not because I knew someone or lobbied for it. Simply because I was given an opportunity. That, for me, is one of the things Peter Obi’s candidacy represents. A Nigeria where ordinary people can find their place based on competence, hard work, and belief. The β€œPrimary 2 girl” is grateful. And I remain grateful that, despite everything thrown at him, he has stayed true to who he is. #NigeriaWillBeOk

Today 10/06/2026, after so much efforts from Individuals and groups, INEC finally came to Uniport, but the DEAN STUDENTS AFFAIRS sent his boys to threaten the INEC official (Woman), that if she returns to Uniport (Delta Campus), tomorrow 11/06/2026, to continue with the CVR, her equipments will be destroyed and she’d be dealt withβš οΈβ€ΌοΈ According to the boys, INEC has not taken permission from the DSA! So they can’t be in school registering students for PVC. All the students who were on a queue to register, mostly girls, because the Mobile Centre was set up at a Girl’s Hostel, were instructed by the Dean’s boys through the Hall Rep, to move back into their hostels and the registration was disrupted/ended The INEC official was scared for her life, and asked me to help her pack up her things; She was supposed to be back tomorrow, but she doubts if she’d be able to come again, because of the threat πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈπŸ’” Registrations have been going on Smoothly in other Higher Institutions in Rives State without any issues; Except UNIPORT because the administration is a team of WIKE loyalists πŸ˜ͺ There are voice records of all the conversation btwπŸ˜ͺ‼️

The Nigeria we seek is one where competence, integrity, and service take precedence over politics as usual. The candidacy of Peter Obi and Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso offers a vision of leadership focused on education, economic growth, accountability, and national unity. Together, they represent the possibility of a Nigeria where opportunities are created, institutions work, and every citizen can look to the future with hope and confidence. As we build towards that future, Nigerians should also get familiar with the official logo of the NDC which is on the @inecnigeria portal. #NigeriaWillBeOk
