When you raised your hand to accept Jesus as Lord of your life and yielded yourself to Him, it meant you accepted the assignments He brings to you. It's no longer your time, your life, or your resources—you serve at the pleasure of the King. What an exciting way to invest your days! There is nothing you will give to the Lord that He won't multiply back to you. Learn to honor the Lord. Practice being generous with your time, your attention, and your resources. Find ways to do that. Listen to people you might be tempted to brush off. Pray for people when it would be easier to ignore the invitation. Begin to practice that in an intentional, purposeful way. If you choose to honor Him, He will find you trustworthy, and He will multiply your opportunities. He will multiply things you didn't even know were possible. You don't have to find the parade, run to the front, and say, “Look what I did!” Be willing to serve the Lord in all those places that seem insignificant, and God will bring promotion to you—whether He brings the promotion in this life or waits until eternity. Promotion is coming! If you're walking through a hard season that's demanding your attention and sacrifice, and you feel like nobody notices, God notices. Turn down the volume on those accusing or condemning voices—or those voices telling you you're wasting your time or your sacrifice. You're not. Don't grow weary. God is faithful!
