This postcard is a previous “Daily Pick” on 30 Jun 2025! This postcard showcases a Star Wars related Garage Door mural titled "The Mandalorian and The Child," created by artist Adam “achibbz” Chibba (instagram.com/achibbz?igsh=c…). The mural is inspired by the Star Wars franchise, specifically the series The Mandalorian (which is now also a feature film). It features the main character, The Mandalorian, alongside "the child," also known as Grogu (stop calling him “Baby Yoda, people)! Also seen in the background is Mando’s spaceship, The Razor Crest (destroyed in Season 2, Chapter 14 “The Tragedy”). It is an ST-70 assault ship. In the show, the Razor Crest is a repurposed gunship used by Din Djarin (The Mandalorian) for bounty hunting.  The Movie, “The Mandalorian and Grogu” just opened in the theaters is the United States but it’s not getting great reviews. The mural was created in 2021 by Toronto artist Blazeworks (blazeworksart.com) for the Little Portugal Toronto BIA (lptbia.com). The mural was designed to address a specific issue in the neighborhood: the frequent vandalism of public art by local graffiti writers. To create a piece that commanded respect within the street art community, Blaze blended classic graffiti-style lettering with traditional illustrative mural elements (such as Athena and her Owl). This "Guardian" is intended to watch over the street and serve as a bridge between high-concept public art and raw graffiti culture. I have attached the finished murals picture below. @JSThaShdwHunter, may I suggest adding a new picture to the stop if you can find the time? Might be worth a resubmit after an updated photo! The mural's powerful design is enhanced by the use of the actual brick wall as a textured canvas, giving the image a unique urban feel. This piece was created by local Toronto artist KitKat. Unfortunately, I could not find a social media page for this artist but I did find a page showing the artworks progression with pictures of KitKat working on it. The mural is outside of The Proudest Pony Hair Salon (proudestpony.com) and was commissioned. I bet @Bubblesnconkie would love this one for her collection! ⭐️ for the perfect sticker pairing!
