When you listen to music you don't choose a Volume Profile (Whisper, Elevator Music, Standard, Party, Rock Concert). You granularly choose a level based on comfort/preference, etc. Want Louder, Scroll Up; Want Quieter, Scroll Down. No thinking - just reaction. FSD just needs to have speed controlled with right scroll wheel like music volume. 0 to 11. Essentially 5-6 would be "Standard". Level 11, "Mad Max" - you get the point. No more limited, cheesy profile names. In addition, NHTSA would probably appreciate "Level 11" more than "Mad Max". But wait, there is more! There is Speed and there is Assertiveness. @DrKnowItAll16 Just because you want to drive slow does not mean you dont want be be assertive. And just because you want to drive fast does not mean you want to be assertive (a lot of darty lane changes, quick acceleration, etc). Right Scroll Wheel Up and Down (1-11) for Speed. Right Scroll Wheel Left and Right (1-3) for Assertiveness. @tesla_ai @DevinOlsenn @dirtytesla @ChuckCook @AIDRIVR ____________________________________ Speed Level Examples: Right now STANDARD goes 70 in a 55 zone - let's say that would be Level 6. Level 5 would go ~67 Level 4 would go ~64 Level 3 would go ~61 (CHILL) Level 2 would go ~58 Level 1 would go ~55 (SLOTH) Level 0 - maybe 45 to 50ish AND Level 7 ~73 Level 8 ~76 (HURRY) Level 9 ~79 Level 10 ~82 Level 11 ~85 (MAD MAX) ~ because these levels should be "targets" and dynamic temporarily - slower in bad weather - faster in a lane change maneuver, accident evasion maneuver or to fit in with abnormal traffic speed. Then with the .5 levels you could even fill in those gaps....

When it comes to max speed control @tesla_ai - you're wrong. People are not happy. You have it in Europe. Don't pretend it's not possible. The take rate is 13% - don't pretend you're right

The experiment is over. Speed profiles don't work. I just spent 3 miles adjusting back and forth between Chill and Standard in a 25 zone with a cop behind me. 31mph would have been perfect. But Standard would slowly creep to 35 then going to Chill would awkwardly regen to 27. Then I'd use accelerator to 30 and car would beep at me😁. Then I'd put in Standard and the creep to 35 would start before starting over, slamming back to Chill at 27... Cop probably thought I was on drugs (rightfully so). Just so bizarre when keeping car in Hurry and temporarily scrolling to 31 would work perfectly - just like 13.2.9 and umm, Europe. @Tesla_AI @BeardedTesla @DirtyTesLa @ChuckCook

The point of my story is as the driver I should be able to have control of what's going on with my car.. I don't care about what you say or what you think or what you feel is right - it is my fine, the car is under my responsibility, it is under my insurance and I should be able to control how fast the car goes.. in this scenario I had no control

Now that we are starting the painful rollout of 14.3.4: We need: NEW: Removal of destination pop-up (make it an option) Pothole avoidance Ability to save trips/routes Do not enters/handicaps fixed Ability to read most other signs (traffic from left does not stop, stop except right, no left between 7am and 7pm, truck speed limits) Slow for ALL speed bumps Reduced deceleration for small animals and birds (no braking) Ability to choose parking spot with a tap like autopark More natural stopping locations at stop signs Quicker decel to 0 at stop signs Ability to set a speed offset per profile at minimum with Europe based max speed if possible Chill not capped at 2 on highway No left lane camping Thin chain and thin horizontal objects detected and visualized Start of retrofit programs (for front bumper cams etc) Cleaned/ stabilized visualizations with more objects More on screen reasoning ("stopping for emergency vehicle", "flashing lights to give go ahead", changing lanes to pass slower traffic") Plenty more but it's a start ...

If they let you dial in area, choose or move spot, choose back in vs nose in, handicap etc etc then maybe worth showing the map..... But it's just not ready for what they did in 14.3.4.

1 of many pieces left... MEMORY Everytime I go downhill it doesn't slow for speed bump that I manually take around 2mph. Everytime uphill it slows to 6-8mph. It should take experiencing something ONCE to figure it out until it changes.

Why is the initial reverse still a half reverse? Go 3 more feet in reverse and the truck would be straight.... No reason to have to negotiate a maneuver around the car it started next to.
