Catholics are among the least Biblically educated "Christians" I know. They seem to forget that Jesus is no longer on the Cross, and spend more time praying to Mary than God, which is idolatry.
They are so attached to images, sculptures, and places they deem of great significance - which is idolatry. They even idolize language; with some holding opinions that a mass should be in Latin over any other language. I guess their magic spells don't work unless they are in Latin.
Meanwhile Peter said that at the end, the whole Earth will be consumed with fire and everything will be utterly destroyed. Where will their precious crucifixes, icon, statues, rosaries, etc. be then?
Nearly 1 in 5 of our nation’s Veterans are Catholic. And while atheists, humanists, and nearly 100 other belief systems can choose their symbol on a VA cemetery headstone, Catholics still cannot choose a crucifix as their emblem of belief.
That is why I am advocating that the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs add the crucifix as an eligible emblem at our national cemeteries. Their faith deserves to be represented, and I will keep fighting until it is.
