I recently had a chance to discuss @OER_NIE research with school leaders at YCSS. It was an incredible opportunity to hear directly from Teachers and it really hit home the importance of maintaining an open dialogue between learning scientists and the teaching community

Come work with us over here at @healthybrain_au and the brand new #BetterBrains. Please share to your networks!
I'm looking for a casual RA to join the @healthybrain_au and BetterBrains team. Please help me spread the word, esp if you have any postgrad/PhD students who would like to pick up a bit of work (might vary between 1-3 days depending on recruitment). Thank you!

Check out our latest fMRI paper in @CurrentBiology! Stoked to have been part of this project 😁 We found that the BOLD responses of anomalous trichromats differ in V1 compared to controls, but are similar in V2 & V3—providing evidence of color compensation at the cortical level.
My dissertation work is finally published! Check out our paper "Color Compensation in Anomalous Trichromats Assessed with fMRI" now in press @CurrentBiology. authors.elsevier.com/a/1cFBA…

I'm reviewing a paper written by a non-native English speaker (assumption based on where research conducted). The research is valuable but the presentation is difficult to read. It's got me thinking about the barriers to non-native English speakers in #scicomm 1/3

Hey #AcademicTwitter! Curious if anyone knows if time-sensitive health-related #research, requiring specialist skills, can enable individuals to move interstate in Australia atm (e.g., NSW to QLD). Research is on MCI. Would be great to chat to ppl with exp applying for passes 🙂

I will add that I have checked the gov sites: e.g., QLD bit.ly/2PWW8Ar However, it would be great to hear experiences applying for exemption as 'specialist workers' or if other 'essential' activities applied. Were apps successful and how long did they take etc..

Cool. Would be interested to know if similar B2B coupling exists in learning environments and if there is directional influences of one person to another...

Unpopular opinion: Doing a PhD is awesome and 3 years in I still feel very privileged for the opportunity! I notice #phdchat often focuses on the negative side of this journey, but I'd like to start a thread about the positive aspects of #phdlife @AcademicChatter 1/2
