The Edmund Fitzgerald, owned by ⁦⁦@NM_Financial,⁩ sank 50 years ago today in Lake Superior. Life insurers deeply embedded in North American history though so few know about it. The great Gordon Lightfoot didn’t include the ship’s insurer ownership in his iconic ballad.
