Across the 16th District, we all want the same basic thing: to see how our tax dollars are actually being spent.
On the Southington Town Council, I didn't just talk about it. I led the effort to modernize how the town bids out municipal work, so residents could see for themselves where their money was going.
Last week I went to Prospect's budget meeting. The town's savings have fallen by roughly half, residents were left in the dark about why, and the Council is now starting the months-long process of bringing in an independent auditor to get answers. Prospect families deserved that transparency from the start.
I'll bring that same fiscal responsibility to Hartford as your next senator: your money, your right to see where it goes.
