Darryl asked where I stand on immigration. Here's my answer. My mom came here from Poland at age 11 and had to learn to read, write, and speak English. Nothing about it was easy. There's nothing more American than immigration. The extremes in both parties have failed us on this issue. I believe in a strong and secure border. Taxpayer-funded benefits should go to citizens and people who followed the rules, period. That's why I also believe in a real, workable path for hardworking people who want to contribute the way my family did. Secure the border, respect taxpayers, and fix the broken process. That's common sense. Got a question for me? Submit it at the link below. I'm answering everyone. secure.ngpvan.com/4w4RIUn81k…

A Southington resident reached out and said the Second Amendment is the issue that matters most to him. So we met up and talked for almost three hours. Here's where I stand. I grew up hunting. I'm a recreational shooter, and I got my pistol permit at 21. The Second Amendment is part of who I am. I also believe we can strengthen protections for our communities without touching our Second Amendment rights. By the end of our conversation, we'd found real common ground. That's what happens when you sit down and actually talk. Common sense, not extremes. Got a question for me? Submit it at the link below. I'm answering everyone. secure.ngpvan.com/4w4RIUn81k…

Real leadership isn’t about giving political speeches or picking partisan fights. It’s about listening to constituents, neighbors, and community members. This is about your life and how to make it better. I’m in this fight for you.

Connecticut is one of the richest states in the country. So why are our roads falling apart? Potholes everywhere, and when they wreck your car, you're the one stuck paying to fix it. Fill the potholes. Rob Sampson's had sixteen years to bring our money home, and our roads show exactly what we got for it. When I'm your state senator, I'll fight to get our tax dollars working for the people who actually pay them. Safe roads aren't a luxury. They're the bare minimum. Change is coming to the 16th.

I might be in a tight race for State Senate, but my toughest competition comes from right here at the kitchen table! Especially during campaign season, family time is everything.

Across the 16th District, we all want the same basic thing: to see how our tax dollars are actually being spent. On the Southington Town Council, I didn't just talk about it. I led the effort to modernize how the town bids out municipal work, so residents could see for themselves where their money was going. Last week I went to Prospect's budget meeting. The town's savings have fallen by roughly half, residents were left in the dark about why, and the Council is now starting the months-long process of bringing in an independent auditor to get answers. Prospect families deserved that transparency from the start. I'll bring that same fiscal responsibility to Hartford as your next senator: your money, your right to see where it goes.

It was the honor of a lifetime to become the presumptive Democratic nominee for state senate at last month’s convention. With your support, we can take back this district for working people. Now the real work has begun. Let's win this!

Great music and great company! Had a blast chatting with residents and voters at Music on the Green in Southington. This is what community is all about.

I'll always back small businesses. From the coffee shops in Southington to the auto clinics in Prospect, these are the places that give our towns their character and keep our neighbors working. Big corporations and monopolies already run most of the economy. We've got enough of them. What makes the 16th special is the mom-and-pop shops with real roots here. I'm a small business owner myself, so I know the struggle. I lived it. Let's cut the red tape that keeps regular people from getting a business off the ground, open up access to loans for folks just starting out, and simplify a tax code that nobody can follow. Taxpayers deserve to know where their money goes. Our towns should put out budgets and receipts that anyone can read and check. In Prospect, the opposite is happening. A budget no one could follow has turned into a months-long audit, and residents still don't have answers. In Southington, I fought for transparency in our town budgets. I helped modernize the way our books were kept and released to the public so our taxpayers could actually understand it. I frequently submitted Freedom of Information requests to ensure we knew exactly how our money was being spent- no shady business. The 16th District could use this kind of accountability in the State Senate. Read my statement on what’s happening in Prospect: voteforjackperry.com/news/pr…

"Will you be a party-line vote in Hartford?" It's the question I hear most when I'm out meeting folks. The answer is no. I'm running as a Democrat, but I answer to the people of the 16th District, not the establishment of any party. The teacher in Southington. The nurse in Cheshire. The small business owner in Wolcott. The first responder in Prospect. The factory worker in Waterbury. Those are the people I'll serve in the State Senate. That's my promise to you. First in my Q&A series. Got a question for me? They put up with the late nights, the missed dinners, and the seven hundred texts a day. I'd be lost without them ♥️

When small businesses suffer from accidents, it impacts us all. They are the beating heart of our community and local economy. I send my best to Chuck and Eddie’s as they recover from their fire earlier today and hope the damage wasn’t severe. Thank you to the Southington firefighters and other first responders who stopped these flames.

What makes the 16th District work isn't anything happening in Hartford. It's the people who show up for their neighbors when nobody is watching. That's who I'm running for. Honored to stand with them.

Some of the best conversations this campaign has had have happened across kitchen tables in Southington, Cheshire, Wolcott, Prospect, and Waterbury. If we haven't met yet, here's the next best thing. Drop me a question and I'll answer it on video. Big, small, local, statewide, anything. secure.ngpvan.com/4w4RIUn81k…
