Valley Center (5A, 2-1) picked up a big statement win over Maize South on Friday. QB Connor Thatcher was nearly perfect, going 17-of-18 passing for 291 yards and 4 touchdowns, while also adding another score on the ground. Thatcher is quickly emerging as a player to watch for the Hornets. Valley Center rolled to a 35-14 win to move to 2-1 on the season. #sportsinkansas
